Arsenal Join Palace And Atletico Madrid In Race To Sign 15 Goal Portuguese Poacher

Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Atletico Madrid are all interested in signing RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Portuguese international scored his 50th Bundesliga goal in 83 appearances during Leipzig’s 6-1 win over Greuther Furth at the weekend, and it seems his performances have grabbed the attention of Gunners’ scouts.

Silva only moved to Leipzig from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, and he initially struggled to find his form in front of goal, scoring only twice in his first 12 league games after making the switch to the Red Bull Arena.

However, the 26-year-old began to find his feet by the end of November, and he has now racked up 15 goals in all competitions for Leipzig this campaign.

Whether Silva is a priority target for Arsenal, it is doubtful. The London club are believed to be keener on the likes of Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak, Lille’s Jonathan David and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
