Arsenal Join Four Clubs In Race To Sign French Ace Who Has Scored 12 Goals In 16 Matches This Season

Arsenal are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Frenchman has been in excellent form this campaign, scoring 12 goals in 16 games, and he could well be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Thuram’s contract at Gladbach expires in June and there have been no indications that he will sign an extension, meaning clubs from abroad can start talks with the player as early as January.

The Gunners are not the only team pursuing the 25-year-old’s signature, though, with it being claimed that Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are also keeping tabs on the striker‘s situation.

Although Thuram has played exclusively as a center-forward this season, he has previously been deployed out wide, so he could be a very useful addition to Arsenal’s squad if they do press ahead with a formal approach for the player.
