Arsenal interested in Arturo Vidal

Arsenal interested in Arturo Vidal

Wenger seems to have big plans for the weeks to come. The Frenchman who just said goodbye to 11 players, will look to fill in the gaps which were already pretty big even since last season. According to Metro, a new target has emerged. Juventus’s Arturo Vidal made the Gunners’ wish-list after being linked to Manchester United sometimes during last summer. The Chilean international who made it through to the knockout stage of the World Cup before being knocked out by host nation Brazil, is currently valued at £44million.

Wenger is now in Brazil, closely monitoring several players including Vidal. The 27 year old who is currently going through the best period of his career is one of Wenger’s favorite players. Despite having a similar profile to that of Wilshere or Ramsey, Vidal would still make a great addition to the team. His skill, speed and power would definitely improve Arsenal’s game who need someone strong to back up Ozil and all the other midfielders who are less known for their impressive physiques.

Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, it is hard to believe they will be seeing Vidal performing at the Emirates anytime soon. Despite being a declared Arturo Vidal fan, Wenger is very well aware of the fact that the Gunners have bigger issues to address. They currently have to find a right back, a striker and also maybe one defensive midfielder and a defender who can also play as central defender. If they needed someone to play in Vidal’s position they surely would have brought back Fabregas who is versatile enough to fulfill same the duties as the Chilean.
