Arsenal Injury Update

Even though the Gunners managed a 4-0 win against Hull, the end result was not that positive. Wenger ended the game with three more players added to the injury list. One of those players is rumored to be out for 6 weeks which means he will return when everything is pretty much sorted out for Arsenal. The name of the player: Aaron Ramsey. Unfortunately, the Welshman who limped off the pitch because of a thigh strain is going to miss a very important part of the season’s second half. If Squawka have the right info, the midfielder will miss on the clash against Barcelona and possibly the final most important game of the season against Manchester City. That is scheduled for the 7th of May which is pretty much when Ramsey is expected to return.

The good news is that Mertesacker and Gabriel will be back this weekend. Both are expected to start against Watford, a game that could lead Arsenal closer to a third FA Cup in a row. Koscielny is also expected to return pretty soon which is definitely good news. The Frenchman was excellent next to Mertesacker and showed a lot more confidence than Gabriel who is good, but can mess up pretty badly from time to time.

Ramsey’s injury will give more time on the pitch to players like Campbell. The Costa Rican is expected to be joined by new-comer Mohamed Elneny in the clash against Watford. Both did good when included in the starting eleven so there are high hopes that they will successfully replace players like Ramsey, Walcott or Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The bad news for Wenger is that the season is almost over. Best case scenario, the Frenchman will have the whole lot around the game against City. Cech, Wilshere and Cazrola are expected back at the same time as Ramsey, leaving just two games out of the season. Until then, you also have to deal with suspensions and other possible injuries. Hopefully we will get to see Arsenal’s top eleven play at least one game this season and hopefully it will not be too late. Just imagine if Leicester slip up a couple of times and Arsenal end up fighting for the title with City in their second to last game of the season. All mistakes must be eliminated and all problems will be set aside at least until next season.
