Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has been pictured back in training with the first-team squad ahead of Tuesday night’s game against Porto.
The Japanese international has not played for the Gunners due to an unspecified injury since returning from the Asian Cup.
However, it now appears that Tomiyasu is fit and available for selection, with fans on X happy that the fullback is back in contention to play:

Tomiyasu has recently agreed a new contract
Although it hasn’t been made official yet, the 25-year-old is reportedly set to extend his contract at the Emirates. His current deal is due to expire at the end of next season.
Tomiyasu is expected to see his salary double from £50,000 to £100,000 a week after putting pen to paper. Considering his past injury record, though, it will be hoped that he can remain fit for longer spells.
An Arsenal injury update
In addition to Tomiyasu, Jurrien Timber has continued to build up his fitness by taking part in training sessions with the first-team squad.
It remains to be seen when the Dutchman will be deemed fit enough for a place on the bench but he is eligible for Champions League games, having been added to Arsenal’s list for the knockout stages back in February.
Gabriel Martinelli is still unavailable, having picked up a foot injury in the 6-0 win over Sheffield United last week.
