Speaking after the 5-0 victory over Chelsea, Arteta revealed that Jurrien Timber is knocking on the door to be included in the matchday squad for the first time since August.

Timber has been sidelined for eight months due to an ACL injury but he played (and scored) whilst making his comeback for the Under 21s against Blackburn Rovers on Monday evening. Arteta has subsequently said:

“Yeah we have the squad available apart from Jurrien [Timber] hopefully he’s going to be very soon back with us, we have to utilise the players, the quality that we have.”

From the sound of things, Timber could well be in contention for the Spurs fixture this weekend.

Expected Return Date – Sunday 28th April v Tottenham
