There have been a lot of rumours surrounding Gabriel Martinelli’s foot injury over the past week or so.
The forward has already missed Arsenal’s last two games and he was also forced to pull out of international duty to continue his recovery.
For now, it is thought that Martinelli is on course to be back in time for the weekend, but the Gunners are keeping their cards close to his chest.
Even if he does make the matchday squad for the City fixture, he may only be fit enough for the substitutes bench.
