Arsenal In Pole Position To Sign 17 Year Old Dele Alli

Wenger remains faithful to his ways even if Arsenal’s budget is more than generous these days. The Frenchman is apparently keen on signing 17 year old Dele Alli who started his senior career with MK Dons when he was 16. He has already made 9 appearances for the England U17 team and has become an established member of The Dons who will probably not be able to hold on to him for much longer.

According to Metro, Arsenal will have to fight with Liverpool for the youngster’s signature. The Gunners have been following the England U17 international for a while now. His physique and technical abilities are what made him stand out in first place. He is often compared to former Arsenal leader, Patrick Vieira.

Wenger sent his scouts to look into Alli’s performance against Wigan. Despite being young, MK Dons’ midfielder looks very mature in his way of expressing himself on the pitch. It would be a real opportunity for him to move to North London. The Emirates is one of the most attractive destinations for young players who want to be given chances to prove themselves and develop in one of the best coaching environments in Europe.

Arsenal can feel confidenet about the fact that most youngsters thrive after joining Wenger’s side which will be a real advantage in the whole Dele Alli deal. Liverpool don’t have the same reputation which means the only thing standing between the U17 English international and the Gunners is MK Dons who might try holding on to their prized possession at least until the end of the season. Even so, Alli could still make a great summer transfer and most importantly a great investment for the future.
