Eighteen-year-old shot-stopper, Hugo Keto has penned a three-year-deal with the Gunners after undergoing a medical earlier this week. According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool were expected to sign the boyhood Reds fan this summer but Arsenal have beaten them to the punch.

The Finland U-19 international played some matches for the Liverpool youth team last season. Keto also spent time at Arsenal’s academy but the Reds were expecting him to return to Anfield to train before offering him an official contract.

However, Arsenal have gazumped Liverpool’s plans by signing Keto, who is expected to be a part of the club’s youth team. The 6’3’’ goalkeeper is one of the best prospects to have come out of Finland in the last few years.

Arsene Wenger will be hoping he can provide competition to first-choice Wojciech Szczesny next season.
