Arsenal Have Suffered Yet Another Injury Blow With Defender ‘Unlikely’ To Face Leeds

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is “unlikely” to be available for the Gunners’ clash against Leeds this weekend, according to Football Scotland.

The fullback limped off midway through the second half of Scotland’s 2-0 win over Spain on Tuesday night, and it is believed that he sustained a calf injury:

While Tierney hasn’t been a regular starter in the Premier League for Arsenal this season, manager Mikel Arteta will still be disappointed if he loses yet another player due to fitness problems.

Takehiro Tomiyasu was ruled out for the rest of the season just before the international break with a knee injury, while Thomas Partey has suffered a knock whilst away with Ghana.

With doubts over the fitness of William Saliba (back) and Eddie Nketiah (ankle) ahead of the return of domestic action as well, manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the injury situation clears up soon. Otherwise, it could provide some selection headaches during the run-in.
