Injured Arsenal Star Posts Encouraging Snaps On Instagram And Could Return For Title Run In

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, who is currently out with a knee injury (for which he has had surgery), posted a photo on Instagram of himself alongside his two children.

Elneny has not made an appearance for the Gunners since December 31, 2022, but he seems to be enjoying his time away from the hustle and bustle of the Premier League. Specifically, it gives him much more time to spend with his adorable kids.

The post’s caption was particularly heart-warming – the Egyptian midfield general simply wrote: “My world.”

Currently, Elneny’s post has just under 30,000 likes on Instagram. Several of his teammates have given the post a like, including former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka and loan star Charlie Patino.

Elneny is currently out of action with knee injury that could keep him off the pitch for the remainder of the Premier League season. He did, however, sign a new contract with the Gunners in February that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2024.

Interestly, in the photo, there is no protective gear present on Elneny’s injured knee. It could be out of picture – he is wearing baggy jeans in the picture, which could have been worn to conceal a knee brace. Could Elneny be closer to a return than we may have initially thought? With big games against top 4 chasing Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United as well as title rivals Man City on the horizon, only time will tell.
