Arsenal Gunning For Future Star

Arsenal Gunning For Future Star

Burnley right back Kieran Trippier is grabbing the attention of big clubs in England, according to the Daily Mail, with reports suggesting Arsenal are interested in acquiring his services over the summer.

Tripper began his career as a youth academy player in 1999 at Manchester City, and underwent nearly a decade of development. In 2007, City signed him up on a professional contract, but the defender never made an appearance in the senior squad. His entire spell at City was dominated by loan stints at Barnsley and Burnley. It was at the latter where Trippier made his mark, and the full back settled into the club quickly. And finally in 2012, the club signed him on a permanent deal, which eventually worked out well for club and player. Burnley have secured second place in the Championship thereby sealing promotion into the Barclays Premier League. Meanwhile, Trippier has been receiving plaudits for his performances, giving top club scouts much to think about.

Arsenal do not have enough depth in their defense, and the 23-year old would be the perfect addition to the 1st team squad. Especially with Bacary Sagna rumoured to leave the club at the end of the season, Wenger will need to cover that position.
