Arsenal Given Massive Injury Boost Ahead Of Europa League Knockout Round Tie

Arsenal will have four players back in the first-team fold ahead of tomorrow’s game against BATE Borisov, the club have confirmed.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos returned to light training last week following an ankle injury but he is now in contention to play after taking part in full training sessions this week.

Granit Xhaka is also back fit after missing the last two games against Manchester City and Huddersfield Town with a groin problem.

The return of top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will likely prove to be the biggest boost for manager Unai Emery. The 29-year-old was missing against the Terriers due to illness.

Another notable absentee last weekend was Mesut Ozil, who was again unable to play because of illness. The German will, though, be back available for tomorrow’s game in Belarus.

One player who could be missing, however, is Aaron Ramsey. The midfielder is currently struggling with an issue in his right knee and is being assessed by the club’s medical team.
