Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be paid in excess of £400,000 a week by his new club Juventus, according to reports in the UK.
The Serie A champions confirmed the capture of the 28-year-old yesterday with the midfielder moving to Italy in July.
Fans on Twitter believe Ramsey got a very good deal:

For those that don’t understand football that’s £200k per week per injury ?

Sums up the modern game tbh, fair play to Ramsey like but he ain’t worth 150k a week let alone 400k ?

There may be a couple of factors for why the reported wage is so high. For one, he is moving on a free transfer so Juve can afford to offer the Welshman a high salary to beat off rival bidders.
In fact, it has been reported that Liverpool and Manchester United were also keen on doing a deal for Ramsey but were put off by his high wage demands.
Another factor is that the figure is likely a pre-tax number. With tax taken off, it’s likely to be just over half the reported salary. Of course, that is still a sizeable increase on the £110k a week he is reportedly on at Arsenal.
