Arsenal Dealt Double Blow Ahead Of Derby

A defeat at the hands of Spurs would all but confirm another chance of winning the elusive Premier League title slipping by. The Gunners are currently in third position, seven points adrift of table-toppers Chelsea albeit with two games in hand after Aston Villa did Arsenal a favour by defeating Mourinho’s men.

However, according to the Guardian, in what will be a blow to Wenger, Ramsey has been ruled out of the crucial away trip. The influential midfielder has been out since Boxing Day but after resuming full training last week, he was expected to feature against Spurs. But, the 23-year-old has suffered a short-term problem with regards to his comeback.

£42.4 million signing Ozil suffered a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, and scans have since revealed that the German will be out for a minimum of four weeks. The playmaker is expected to miss key league matches against Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton.

Both players will be sorely missed at White Hart Lane but Arsenal’s only January signing, Kim Kallstrom, is expected to make his long-awaited debut for the club. Nacho Monreal may also recover in time for the derby.

Do you think Arsenal will be able to collect all three points at the Lane?
