Arsenal Ahead Of United In Race For Belgian World Cup Star After Player Signals His Interest In Move

Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco has given his approval to a move to Arsenal, according to reports in Italy.

Both AC Milan and Manchester United are also believed to be keen on the Belgian international, who starred at the World Cup as Belgium reached the semi-finals.

Carrasco moved to the Far East in February last year after falling down the pecking order at Atletico Madrid.

During his first season in the Chinese Super League, the midfielder performed well, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in 26 appearances.

At 25 years of age, Carrasco may already be keen to return to Europe and prove himself again at the top level. There are, however, big question marks over whether the Gunners could afford the transfer.

The Belgian moved to Dalian for €30m last season, and with reports in the English media suggesting that the London club are struggling to find the funds to sign Barcelona’s Denis Suarez, a move for Carrasco may prove out of their reach.
