Are Arsenal Looking To Make 2 Big Signings This Transfer Window If 2 Sales Go Through?

Are Arsenal Looking To Make 2 Big Signings This Transfer Window If 2 Sales Go Through?

This week may be a decisive one for Arsenal’s who seem keen on replacing Alexis Sanchez right away. If the most recent transfer rumors are true, the Chilean will decide where he will play starting February right after the weekend game against Crystal Palace.

With that in mind, Wenger has already started negotiations with 2 very interesting players. Both seem more than capable of making a difference but both also seem to be quite a handful.

The first on the list is Ligue 1 rising star Malcom who was recently reprimanded by his club for some media posts that were considered inappropriate by the Ligue 1 side. The Brazilian winger who is turning 21 in February has made his market value skyrocket this season after scoring 7 goals and providing 6 assists in 22 games. He is fast and has excellent long-shot accuracy. He is incredibly skilful, composed and can shoot just as good with his right foot as he does with his left.

Even though his preferred position is on the right, it is very likely to perform very well on the left side too. His recent market value is at around £20m which should not be a problem if money comes in from Alexis Sanchez and Walcott’s transfers.

The 2nd on the list is Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who recently became the centre of attention due to his strange behaviour amid a possible move to China. The transfer went on to be a bust as the striker is seeking to stay in Europe and according to the Mirror, move to London. While Malcom would be a good signing, Aubameyang would be amazing for Arsenal. Surely, an experienced manager such as Wenger will know how to handle him. He has managed numerous players who have pretty difficult personalities so why not give the Dortmund striker a chance?

If rumors are true, Aubameyang has been acting strangely only because he is so keen on joining the Gunners. That can only be good news. The somewhat bad news is that Dortmund want £60million for their star player and that is a lot for Arsenal even if they do sell Sanchez and Theo Walcott to Everton.

We will just have to wait and see what happens as any deals this big are likely to be closed in the last days of the transfer window and given the way the Sanchez saga has gone on and on with the latest being a possible swap deal of Alexis Sanchez with Man United for Henrikh Mkhitaryan you can imagine there are going to be more twists and turns before the window closes.
