Alexis Sanchez leaves cryptic Instagram post after Chile loss

Alexis Sanchez says he is ‘tired of being criticised’ after Chile suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bolivia on Tuesday evening.

The loss means Chile are in big danger of missing out on a place at next year’s World Cup in Russia, currently sitting in 6th place in the South American qualifying table with just two games remaining.

Sanchez has been in the media this summer constantly, having been linked with a move away from Arsenal to join Manchester City. The move didn’t materialise, and now it seems the forward has had enough of the negative press surrounding him.

In a lengthy post on his Instagram account, the forward admitted he’s tired of telling the world ‘that everything is going well’.

He said: “I’m tired of saying everything is going well”

“You get tired of being criticised with reason and without reason, you get tired of wanting to be defeated, you get tired of saying to yourself “I’ll get up again” after crying after a defeat.”

“And you get tired of telling the world and people who are with you, that everything is going well.”

“And the worst, that no one ever realises how that makes you feel … I have the No 7 of Chile on my back and it is a huge responsibility, that’s why I’m sorry that journalists and bad people criticise without knowing…”

Sanchez must put his miserable summer behind him now and focus on playing for the team who pays his wages.
