Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey announced on Instagram yesterday that he will not play again for the Gunners due to the severity of his hamstring problem.
The Welshman sustained the injury in the quarter-final second leg win over Napoli, but it was hoped he could return before the end of the season. However, Ramsey has now confirmed that won’t be possible:
“It saddens me to say that the game against Napoli was my last game in an Arsenal shirt. Unfortunately, it left me with an injury that rules me out of the remaining games.”
“I am really disappointed not to play until the end and give everything for the club while I am still an Arsenal player. Unfortunately, it’s out of my hands but I wanted to say thank you to the fans for your support.”
Supporters on Twitter are very disappointed about the news:

At the end of the day he has been a great servant of the club. I’m sure he’ll be there for the final home game this season to say goodbye and walk around the pitch. We’ll miss you Rambo ??

The decision by the club to allow Ramsey to run down his contract and make a move to Juventus has not gone down well with many fans, particularly after the 28-year-old’s performances in recent months.
Many were hoping that the Welsh international could help the Gunners secure the Europa League or a top-four finish this campaign but they will now have to do without him.
Since joining the club in 2008, Ramsey has made 371 appearances in all competitions, scoring 65 goals and providing 65 assists.
