Arsenal right-back Calum Chambers played a key role in two goals as the Gunners came from 3-0 down to draw with West Ham yesterday afternoon.
The 26-year-old was surprisingly named in the eleven by manager Mikel Arteta, with it being just his second league start of the season, but he didn’t disappoint on his return to the team.
Chambers delivered the cross for Alexandre Lacazette’s strike that deflected in off Tomas Soucek to make it 3-1. The fullback then whipped in a fantastic cross which forced Hammers defender Craig Dawson to put through his own net. Fans on Twitter were delighted after he was named man of the match:
A class act, deserved every credit he is getting ??

I have absolute confidence in him, so unfortunate that ACL injury had to slow his development but a very class player. Rooting for him in the coming years ??

His crossing was superb today, if only he had Bellerin's pace

It has been a long road back for Chambers, with the player having been out for an extended period with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. His start against Burnley earlier this month was his first in the league for over a year but he looks to be back to his very best now.
