Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of a winger before the transfer deadline.
Yannick Carrasco, who has been linked with both the Gunners and Manchester United, is said to be unsettled at his current club Dalian Yifang.
The Belgian international’s family are believed to be keen on a return to Europe with his agent Christophe Henrotay confirming that there is interest in the player from a number of clubs:
“There’s plenty of interest in Yannick from all over Europe because his family are having problems adapting to China.”
“He’s concerned about his family, which is completely normal… Yannick’s very focused on working, but for his family it’s different. He has too much respect for the club not to tell them.
“There’s the possibility that Dalian reward this honesty and talk to the clubs interested in him.”
Fans on Twitter are on board with Arsenal going after Carrasco instead of Ivan Perisic:

A lot will depend on the finances of a deal. The Gunners have been trying to secure players on loan this month, and it is not known whether Dalian would accept anything other than a sale.
Carrasco has a lot going for him. At 25, he is four years younger than Perisic and would demand a similar salary. Still, the prospect of a loan deal being secured in the next couple of days does seem like a long shot.
