Arsenal Send Scouts To Watch 13M Rated Brazilian Ace As Cheap Alternative To Mudryk Emerges

Arsenal and Manchester United have sent representatives to watch Real Betis winger Luiz Henrique in action, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Brazilian, who is valued at €15m (£13m) by Transfermarkt, could well be an alternative that the Gunners are considering after losing out to Chelsea for Mykhailo Mudryk.

Henrique only joined Betis for €8m (£7m) from Fluminense last summer and, considering Arsenal sporting director Edu knows the Brazilian market very well, it’s not a surprise that the London club have been linked.

Whether he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League, it is an open question. This season, the 22-year-old has scored three goals and provided five assists in 23 appearances which isn’t a bad return.

However, unlike Mudryk, Henrique is most comfortable playing from the right wing, cutting in onto his stronger left foot. The Gunners have targeted Raphinha in the past, which suggests they may want to give Bukayo Saka some competition for his place but you can’t see it being a priority.
