‘The Next Target’ Report Reveals Arsenal Have Identified 51.5M Talent As Potential Lacazette Successor

Arsenal will consider making a move for Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak next summer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish website claims that the Gunners have identified the Swedish international as “the next target” as they continue their rebuild of the squad.

Isak has been scouted by the London club (with Liverpool and Chelsea also linked), but the 21-year-old signed a new contract a couple of months ago, leading to Mikel Arteta’s side cooling their interest in the player.

However, with Alexandre Lacazette expected to leave the Emirates at the end of the season when his contract expires, Arsenal will be looking at replacements.

Isak would seem like a good fit for the club’s transfer strategy. Technical Director Edu has explained that the club are looking to bring in players under the age of 23, and the Swedish forward would slot perfectly into that category.

He will be expensive, though, with Fichajes.net claiming that Real Sociedad will demand around €60m (£51.5m) for the young talent.
