Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma has handed in a transfer request, according to the Times journalist Duncan Castles.
The Malian international is reportedly a key summer transfer target for Arsenal, but he is also believed to be on Liverpool and Manchester City’s radar, so this development could spark a scramble for his signature.
Bissouma is valued at around £40m by the Seagulls and the Gunners would need to come up with the funds for his signature, but previous reports have suggested that the 24-year-old would favour a move to the Emirates. With Liverpool and City thought to have made enquiries, though, this will stay be a very tough transfer to pull off.
In terms of the accuracy of the report, Castles’ record for accuracy is rather hit and miss, so take this with a large pinch of salt, but it is still likely that Bissouma will be very open to moving clubs when the summer transfer window opens.
