Whether we will see Partey against Newcastle in the FA Cup on Saturday evening, we shall have to wait and see. The 27-year-old returned too early from a thigh problem and broke down in the derby defeat to Tottenham last month.
Manager Mikel Arteta and his medical staff will be very cautious about his comeback this time and he is expected to be eased back into things in order to build up his fitness.
A substitute appearance versus Newcastle is looking more likely with the Gunners hoping Partey can be more involved against Crystal Palace on Thursday next week.
