Arsenal may well consider a move for Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard in the summer, according to reports in the English media.
The 27-year-old has had a difficult season at Old Trafford and it has been suggested that the Gunners’ Head of Football Raul Sanllehi’s contacts with the player’s agent Mino Raiola could well facilitate a move.
Supporters on Twitter have dismissed the claims about Lingard as wild speculation:
They will never try to get him to arsenal. We will revolt

No disrespect to Lingard but for me that's the nail in the coffin for the ambition of that football club if it even remotely has any truth in it.

Lingard has had a very poor season, to put it mildly, with the England international having failed to score or provide an assist in 20 Premier League appearances.
He has gotten on the scoresheet in the Europa League and FA Cup, but those goals came against FC Astana and Tranmere Rovers.
Lingard’s form has nosedived over the past two campaigns, and while he could be available in the summer, it would be a big surprise if Arsenal boss Mike Arteta was interested in the player.
