Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar is a player that Arsenal are monitoring after reviving their interest in the Frenchman, according to reports in the UK.
The 24-year-old was close to moving to the Emirates when Arsene Wenger was still in charge in 2017, but a £90m deal fell through. He eventually moved to Spain for £53m in the summer of 2018.
Most fans on Twitter don’t think Lemar should be considered as a target by the Gunners due to his poor performances at Atletico:

As much as people are saying lemar is a flop his style of play doesn’t suit simeone as his a defensive coach he could be a great buy at 30m and play in Ozil position

It is true that the France international has struggled since arriving in Spain. The midfielder has scored just three goals and provided six assists in 64 appearances for Atletico.
This campaign, he has featured in 21 games and not managed a single goal contribution. It must be said that Diego Simeone’s defensive style does not help but even so, it is not a particularly good return.
With Atletico reportedly prepared to sell, though, manager Mikel Arteta may feel he could get him for a bargain price.
