Arsenal will still be confident going into this weekend’s North London derby against Tottenham despite having lost to Liverpool last weekend.

Although the Gunners were second best on the day, there were signs of a team with stronger resilience than previous teams that have gone to Anfield and been defeated heavily.

With Spurs heading into the encounter off the back of a surprising home loss to Newcastle, manager Unai Emery will be expecting his side to put in a good performance against their fierce rivals.

Arsenal have no new injury worries for the derby but Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino has a whole host of selection issues. Record signing Tanguy Ndombele has a hamstring injury and is a major doubt for the match on Sunday.

First choice right-back Kyle Walker-Peters is also struggling with the same issue, while it is touch and go whether Dele Alli will be back in time from a thigh problem. With question marks over Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen’s future at the club as well, Spurs are not exactly the most settled team going into this weekend’s clash.
