Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window, according to reports in the French media.
The Welshman’s contract expires in the summer, and he will be free to speak to foreign clubs in a matter of days.
PSG are said to be considering a number of potential midfield targets, but the fact that Ramsey could be available for a small fee next month could swing things in his favour, with a bid worth up to £18m being lined up.
Strangely though, it seems the Ligue One champions are only prepared to offer the Wales international an 18-month deal.
The fact that Ramsey was said to be demanding double his current £110,000 a week wages from Arsenal before the Gunners withdrew their offer, may mean PSG are cautious about giving the 28-year-old such a long contract on that type of salary.
Still, talks about a move to the Parc des Princes are said to have already begun. Whether a switch does indeed take place in January, we shall have to wait and see. Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus, AC Milan and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the midfielder.
