Inter Milan have a verbal agreement with Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to move to the San Siro on July 1st, according to reports in Italy.
The Nerazzurri are believed to have met the Welshman’s agent on Wednesday in order to thrash out a deal, with the Serie A club said to be prepared to pay his €6m to €7m a year wages.
Ramsey has already confirmed that he will leave the Gunners at the end of his contract in the summer, but it seems Inter may even try to get him before then.
The Italian side’s new chief executive Beppe Marotta has been tasked by manager Luciano Spalletti to try and get him in January if possible, with the Inter boss needing a new playmaker in midfield.
It all points to the Nerazzurri being the favourites to land Ramsey. The likes of Inter’s city rivals AC Milan, as well as Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United, have also been linked with the 27-year-old.
