Mari was signed by the Citizens from Gimnastic in the summer of 2016, but he never played under manager Pep Guardiola.
He was loaned out straight away to Girona before loan spells at NAC Breda and Deportivo La Coruna. The defender was sold in July 2019 without playing a single minute for City.
