Despite losing against Manchester City on Wednesday night, Arsenal remain top of the Premier League, but their lead over their title rivals is now just two points, having played two games more.
With only five fixtures remaining against Chelsea, Newcastle, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves, fans on Twitter have been deciding how many more wins the Gunners could pick up:
7 points max.

The way we are playing none of those games are a certain win. Chelsea will smell blood, Newcastle are in great form and we always struggle against Brighton…I can see City pulling away as we drop off and winning the league comfortably

6-9 point.

Winning 3 drawing 2

At this rate we probably get like 7-8 points…

watch us win all of these games just to lose the title to city 2 points behind or smth

I see 3 wins 1 draw 1 defeat there

At this rate man city might win the league with a 10point gap

After such a demoralising defeat to City, it’s not surprising that so many supporters are down in the dumps. The prospects of Arsenal winning the league have been greatly diminished but you can’t rule them out just yet.
The next game versus Chelsea is at the Emirates on Tuesday night, and the Blues are there for the taking, as long as Arteta can get the squad’s morale up off the floor following the events at the Etihad.
Games against Newcastle and Brighton will be a lot more challenging, though, while Forest and Wolves should be more straightforward fixtures. We shall see how things pan out over the coming weeks.
