58M Rated South American Star Will Not Force Through January Transfer Despite Arsenal, Chelsea And United Circling

Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister will not be “agitating for a move” away from the South Coast during the January transfer window, according to The Athletic.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are just some of the teams who have taken an interest in the Argentinian international, who starred for his country as they won the World Cup earlier this month.

Mac Allister is expected to be the subject of bids, but it is believed that Brighton are confident of keeping the player until the end of the season.

The Seagulls feel that the 24-year-old is not the sort of person to down tools and force through a transfer so if they don’t get an offer that satisfies their asking price, he will remain at the Amex.

Reports have suggested that Mac Allister could cost as much as €65m (£58m); a figure which may put off the Gunners, who are currently focused on recruiting a winger instead.
