Everton forward Richarlison has turned down a move to Arsenal, according to reports in the Brazilian media.

It is believed that the Gunners were one of five clubs that expressed an interest in signing the 25-year-old, along with Real Madrid, Paris-Saint-Germain, Tottenham and Chelsea.

However, Richarlison rejected the approach from Mikel Arteta’s side, whilst PSG nor Real are believed to be viable options either. The former ended their pursuit following the departure of sporting director Leonardo while the latter are not offering guaranteed first-team football.

It means that the Brazilian international is most likely to end up at either Spurs or Chelsea. It has been claimed that Antonio Conte’s side have already offered €60m (£52m) for the player but that has yet to be substantiated by UK-based journalists.  Chelsea are waiting to sell Romelu Lukaku before making their own bid.

For Arsenal, it means they are now looking at other targets. Richarlison’s international teammate Raphinha has been mentioned as a possible alternative, along with West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.
