Mendes has come right through the ranks
It’s usually the case that players move around different youth academies before they settle at one club but Mendes has been at Sporting since joining the Primeira Liga club at the age of 10.
The left-back has gone from playing for the Under 15s to playing for the senior side in just three years, showing how highly he is rated by his coaches at the Portuguese side.
