Without Salah and Mane, the Reds have limited firepower at their disposal. There is a lack of pace and, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also picking up an injury against Brentford, it means the only player in the frontline who could cause problems in behind will be Jota.


If Takekhiro Tomiyasu is fit and available, the Japanese international could be the best player for marking the Portuguese forward out of the game, which will seriously limit the away side’s threat on the counter-attack.
