Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has beaten Gabriel Martinelli in a vote conducted by GoonerNews.com to determine who is the most promising youngster coming through the ranks of the London club.

Martinelli has been exceptional since arriving from Ituano last summer but Saka’s performances have been just as impressive, scoring three goals and providing ten assists in 33 appearances.

It was announced earlier this week that Saka had signed a new contract at the Emirates, keeping him at the club until June 2024.

The teenager had been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United before he signed on the dotted line and supporters will be delighted that he is staying for the long term.

One of Saka’s most standout qualities is his ability to play in a number of positions. As well as playing on both wings this season, he has also been asked to fill in at left-back. He excelled despite playing in an unfamiliar role.
