Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles has called on his teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new contract with the Gunners.
The club captain has said he is open to talks with the club over extending his stay beyond the one year remaining on his current deal, while head coach Mikel Arteta says he is very positive that an agreement can be reached.
Maitland-Niles replied to a post on Aubameyang’s Instagram, and many supporters feel he wouldn’t be communicating about the situation publicly if a new contract wasn’t on the horizon:

It’s probably best for fans to keep their expectations in check regarding Aubameyang. The 31-year-old clearly loves playing for the club but the player has mentioned that he is considering his options, at a pivotal moment of his career.
Hopefully, Arteta can convince him that he is building something at the Emirates which is worth sticking around to be a part of.
