Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has told his teammates that he will be leaving the club, according to Bild. The German tabloid claims the Swiss international is eyeing a move back to the Bundesliga.
The midfielder joined the Gunners from Borussia Monchengladbach for £35m in 2016, but it looks as though he will be departing the Emirates after three and a half years. Most fans on Twitter would be happy to see him go:
I’m not surprised. You knew it was coming….

Its ok if he leaves, i can’t blame Xhaka truth is we just don’t see his contribution when we lose but when we are in good form Xhaka is one player that gives his best remember that goal against Palace last season? Its sad we only see negative side

Ever since the incident against Crystal Palace, there has been a big question mark over Xhaka’s long term future at the club. The relationship between the player and the supporters is strained, to say the least, so a parting of ways looked inevitable.
The 27-year-old is, though, still expected to be in the squad for tomorrow’s game against Everton. The midfielder has missed the last two matches against Standard Liege and Manchester City due to a concussion he sustained in the win versus West Ham.
