Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has joined Besiktas on loan, the club have officially confirmed. The Egyptian international will spend the season with the Turkish club.
Supporters on Twitter believe the 27-year-old’s departure was the right decision, and they have been praising the Gunners’ Head of Football Operations Raul Sanllehi for his work in the transfer market this summer:

Sanllehi has certainly done wonders with the transfer budget he was given by the London club’s board. Recruiting the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Kieran Tierney, Dani Ceballos and David Luiz has been met with delight among the fanbase.
Offloading players like Elneny and Carl Jenkinson, who were not in Unai Emery’s first-team plans, has also helped to free up space in the squad, with many believing that the team is now much stronger than last campaign. Whether that proves to be the case as the season wears on, we shall have to wait and see.
