Wright Believes Arsenal Should Line Up With This Front Six For The Derby

Arsenal legend Ian Wright says he is keen for Dani Ceballos to be selected in the North London derby this afternoon. The TV pundit has also outlined who should line up alongside the Spaniard in midfield and upfront.

Wright wants the front three of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe to start, while he would like to see both Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi behind Ceballos in holding midfield roles:

“We’ve got Dani for what… a year? He may not sign again, so let’s use him as much as we can. I’m sure he was disappointed about the role he had to play in the Liverpool game, so let’s play him right behind those three and let’s get going.”

“Torreira and Guendouzi behind him snapping around people. Get the ball into Ceballos who can then get Pepe free, get Auba free, link it up into Lacazette, Lacazette holds it up, Auba scores and we’re back again!”

It will depend on how ambitious manager Unai Emery will be for the clash against Spurs. He looked more concerned about the opposition in how he set up against Liverpool last weekend.

However, with the team playing at home and facing a fierce rival, it will be hoped that the Gunners boss will go with a bold selection for the derby.

Whether we’ll see both Torreira and Guendouzi, it is probably unlikely, though, with Granit Xhaka expected to captain the side.
