Arsenal have made contact with Lille midfielder Renato Sanches’s agent, according to reports in the English media.
Liverpool have also been monitoring the Portuguese international’s situation, with Lille likely to cash in on the 23-year-old, who they signed from Bayern Munich for €25m two years ago.
Sanches may have struggled during a loan spell with Swansea in 2017 but he has rebuilt his career in France, and supporters on Twitter would back the Gunners if the London club do firm up their interest in the player:
Am all for this…i would take him everyday of the week…suits a 4.3.3 very well

It is believed that Sanches would be open to a return to the Premier League, with the Portuguese international said to be keen on proving himself in England.
The midfielder has had a good European Championships with Portugal, and with Arsenal needing to replace Dani Ceballos in the middle of the park, the former Bayern star could well be seen as a good option to strengthen a key area of the pitch.
