Arsenal are admirers of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners were linked with the German international before they made a move for Raphinha and Jacobs suggests that Mikel Arteta’s side still rate Sane very highly:
“The Sane links were prior to Raphinha and I think that Arsenal gathered quite quickly, when they turned their attention to Raphinha, that it’s going to be tough to get Sane to move away from Bayern. I think Bayern’s preference is still to try and keep Sane, so that one is going to be a challenge, but it’s obvious they admire the player.”
While it appears that recruiting Sane would still be a tough ask, supporters on Twitter would be delighted if he did end up making the switch to the Emirates:

I would take him in a heart beat. But it seems like arsenal is doing what city did with us a couple years ago when they bought our players and ex players and the rest is history. Hopefully this is history in the making as well 🙏 😅

Fans would be wise not to get their hopes up on this one. As Jacobs points out himself, Bayern are keen to keep hold of the former Manchester City player.
Even if Sane was put on the market, it is felt that the Bundesliga champions would demand a sizeable fee, and his availability would attract other clubs, such as Chelsea, who have also been mentioned as potential suitors. It is still one to keep an eye on, though, between now and the end of the transfer window.
