Wilshere To Prove World Cup Fitness

Jack Wilshere could be making his full comeback from injury in Arsenal’s final game of the season at Norwich City, according to the Mirror. The purpose of the comeback will be to prove his fitness to Roy Hodgson, who will be making the World Cup squad announcement soon.

Wilshere first made news when he was given a chance by Wenger as a 16-year old to experience the first team setup at the club. Wilshere was scouted by several big clubs, but Wenger had a plan in mind to integrate Wilshere into the starting lineup once he gained experience. And for that purpose, Wenger sent him to Bolton Wanderers, where he gained valuable experience, which has now allowed him to be a part of the first team on a consistent basis. Internationally, Wilshere is respected as a world class player, and has played several times for the Three Lions.

With a restriction of 23 players, Hodgson will have the task of picking the players who will excite the world with their pace, creativity and determination to win matches. The former Fulham boss cannot afford to pick a player who could have a chance of suffering from existing injuries during the month-long competition.
