The German arrived at the Emirates Stadium for £42.4 million, moments before the Transfer Deadline Day slammed shut. The nature of the transfer shocked the entire footballing world and understandably delighted the Arsenal fans. The playmaker has also fitted into the team with relative ease, and has already stamped his authority on the English league.

The 25-year old has become the fulcrum of the Gunners’ midfield, and such has been his influence, that his presence has in fact affected the game of others around him. He is bringing out the best in his fellow midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, in what is gradually becoming one of the best midfield combinations in the league.

Wilshere, who is forming a strong bond with the former Real Madrid man, believes that Ozil is blessed with immense talent and suggests that he is perhaps the best player he has ever played with, as reported by Metro. He was quoted as saying, “He’s probably the most talented player I’ve ever played with,”

“He’s so natural in the way he plays and he can see a pass, he’s really clever.”

“He’s great to have in the team and sometimes that does make a difference in the Premier League – to have that one player who can do something to win a game,” he continued.

Wilshere has also formerly played alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas, who was widely considered Arsenal’s best player in recent years. This admission by Wilshere also points to the fact that he regards Ozil above the Spaniard.
