Even though the England International spoke highly of his colleagues, and said that they are all performing on the highest level, it is a clear fact that Wilshere is Wenger’s first choice. He is perfectly in tune with Ozil and Ramsey.

Wilshere also spoke about the time he started playing for Arsenal. He had to fight for a place in Wenger’s team with footballers like Fabregas, Song AND Diaby. This kind of competition is what makes a player grow. It is what made Wilshere the player he is today. The 21 year old has still a lot to learn so having players like Rosicky, Arteta and Cazorla around to challenge him will only lead to greater things for Wishere and all the others.
