Will PSG Sell ‘Sad’ Cavani?

The 27-year-old Cavani joined PSG in the summer of 2013 for a fee reported to be in the region of £55 million from Italian side Napoli. He was prolific in Naples, but he has arguably failed to replicate his form for PSG, possibly due to being played out of position on the flanks.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the number one striker for PSG coach Laurent Blanc and Cavani is frustrated at playing second fiddle to the Swedish international. Cavani is no longer happy at PSG, claims their former goalie Alonso, according to the Daily Star.

He said, “We no longer recognize Cavani. He looks sad, his eyes no longer sparkle. With Cavani before, Paris can score a fourth goal late in the game. But his game is stereotyped.”

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Uruguayan in the past and Wenger is a huge fan of the former Palermo striker. The Frenchman will be looking at a deal for Cavani in the summer but will PSG want to sell their star striker whom they signed for an exorbitant fee just two years ago?

Wenger will have to stump up huge money if he wants to prise Cavani from the French capital.
