Will Arsenal Move Sanchez Out In Order To Secure Lemar And More?

Even though Arsenal started off strong in the summer transfer window with the surprising signing of Alexandre Lacazette, things have slowed down considerably during the past weeks. To be honest, the whole Neymar to PSG deal sort of messed up the transfer market as prices have skyrocketed since then.

Because the massive money inflow, players like 20-year-old Ousmane Dembele have become inaccessible for clubs who still know the value of money. Wenger in particular warned us about such a situation last year when Pogba became the most expensive player in the world, costing United a whopping €105,00 Million. With all that in mind, it is hard to believe The Gunners’ offers will cause any changes in the transfer market before the window closes on the 31st of August.

Out of all the possible targets, two still remain, both looking more like solutions for a possible player exodus from the Emirates. Alexis Sanchez, and quite surprisingly, Shkodran Mustafi have been linked with moves which would separate them from Arsenal.

Nothing is set in stone yet though. Given the fact that Mustafi is in his first year of contract, it`s unlikely to see him leave, meaning that the transfer of Virgil van Dijk is the least likely to happen before the end of the month.

That leaves Sanchez whose situation is unclear to say the least. Here is where, according to The Sun,  Thomas Lemar comes in. The young French winger is still on Wenger’s list. The Gunners’ boss could be willing to pay just as much as he did for Lacazette only if the club’s budget gets an injection from Sanchez’s departure.

It is hard to say what will happen next and it is hard to say if Arsenal should even consider giving in to the current market situation. While it would be nice to see some new transfers, it has not been in Arsenal’s spirit to contribute to the continued price increases of an already unstable market.
