Arsenal technical director Edu has held face-to-face talks with the agent of Juventus midfielder Arthur, according to Goal‘s Gunners correspondent Charles Watts.
Federico Pastorello has been to London Colney for discussions but a deal is far from being finalised as the player’s club still want to find a replacement before signing off on the loan move.
Supporters on Twitter are not sure what to make of this latest update, with some unsure whether Arthur would be a good addition to the squad anyway:

There are concerns that negotiations could extend until the end of the transfer window and, with Arsenal needing reinforcements as soon as possible, it is hardly ideal for manager Mikel Arteta.
You would have to think that, if the move for Arthur continues to stall, the Gunners will look to move on to other targets. For the time being at least, it seems the London club will continue to be patient.
