Arsenal are “closely following” the progress of Borussia Monchengladbach defender Luca Netz, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website claims that the Germany Under 21 international is on the London club’s radar, with Manchester United also keeping tabs on the player.

Netz is a left-back by trade and, with the Gunners already having Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares, it would be a surprise if he is a target for the short-term. However, the club’s newest scout Florian Bluchel is likely to be the one who has flagged the defender to the club’s recruitment team, due to his extensive knowledge of the German market.
